Drydocks World and Martime World, the international service provider to the shipping, maritime, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors today announced a 2.5 million AED donation as a contribution to the humanitarian initiative “The Water Aid Campaign”, which will help provide clean drinking water to 100,000 people. The initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan, is geared towards providing fresh drinking water for five million people around the world who suffer from shortage of potable water.

HE Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World stressed the importance this campaign and the organization’s commitment to the humanitarian initiatives launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. “The campaign amply demonstrates how people & organizations are willing to collaborate & participate in such humanitarian initiatives with their largesse during the Holy Month of Ramadan” he said.

He emphasized the support of the group (Drydocks World, Dubai, Dubai Maritime City, Jadaf, Dubai, Platnuim Yacht Management, and other subsidiaries of DDWMW) to the “UAE Water AID” campaign. “We are very aware of the importance of effectively contributing to the humanitarian role played by the UAE, as a country which shows its care for the less fortunate under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai”, he added
