Mohammad Rizal Bin Abdullah
Chief Operating Officer - Drydocks World - Dubai


Mohammad Rizal completed his apprenticeship in Sembawang Engineering and Shipyard in Singapore building pressure vessels, single bouy moorings and topside modules for Woodside projects.

Later joined Pan United in 1989 as Ship Repair Manager and promoted to Marine Manager in charge of Afloat Repair Dept.

He joined Dubai Drydocks, as a Ship Repair Manager in 1993, later moving to the Commercial Division in 1996 as an Invoicer. He became the Invoicing Manager in 2000 before taking up the position of Production Manager in 2004 and then Production Director in 2007.
He was as an Executive Director from 2010 till he left to join Abu Dhabi Ship Building in 2015 as Director- Production and Operation.

He resumes his employment with Drydocks World in August 2016 as Chief Operating Officer.

Rizal believes that being proactive is one of the fundamentals in achieving success. His leisure time is spent with the family whenever he can or the occasional outing in bowling and golfing events.


 
 
   
Nagraj Rao
VP-Finance & Procurement
 
Nagraj is a qualified chartered accountant holding memberships with both The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, U.K as well as The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.  He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai, India.
 
His career spans 33 years, 20 of which are with McDermott International Inc., Dubai, an EPCI American multinational in the oil and gas industry.  Over his entire career he has worked in several different roles within finance and accounting, international tax planning and compliance, projects, bidding and commercial including contract reviews and on tender committees, financial reporting, treasury, corporate secretarial matters, other regulatory elements of the business and has also been selected="true"="true"="true"="true"="true"="true"="true"="true" to lead several special assignments.  He joined Drydocks World in 2009 and was extensively involved in the 2012 debt restructuring of Drydocks World.  Simultaneously, he played a significant role in ensuring the continuity of operations of the South East Asia business of Drydocks World.  
 
                                                                                                                                                                    
  

  
 
 
 
Shachindra Nath Saxena 
VP - Production & Operations
 

Shachindra Nath Saxena is a qualified senior management employee and has experience in ship repair, conversion and new build industry. This includes 23 years sea-shore experience, constituting a unique and systematic blend as Chief Engineer on board different types of vessels, Superintendent for New builds at renowned Japanese Sumitomo and Sanoyas shipyards and also at various key managerial positions in ship repair. Mr Saxena joined Drydocks World team in 1998 December and has held many key positions like Ship Repair Manager, Production Control Manager, Marine Manager, Steel Shop Manager and then General Manager Production. He has a degree in Marine Engineering from one of the India’s premier institutes and has Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Project Management from Missouri University USA.


 
 
  
Mohammad Abdulrazaq Al Awadhi
VP- HSSEQ & Business Excellence 

Mohammad graduated with distinction from HCT – Dubai Men’s College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Management, is certified as an EFQM Excellence Assessor, Dubai Quality Award Assessor, Lead QMS Auditor, and has professional memberships to international organizations: ILM, ASQ, IOSH and DQG. He has served as a member on national committees of nonprofit Government owned organizations in strategic planning and organizational excellence teams. 

He has also achieved numerous professional and academic awards such as “Young Leader of the Year” Award at the 7th Annual Leadership & Management Week conference in the UAE; “Excellence in Quality Management” Award 2014 certificate by World Confederation of Businesses and UAE President medal for Academic Excellence by Ministry of Presidential Affairs / HCT. 

He successfully managed to restructure and realign the quality departments & systems across the group in Dubai, Singapore & Indonesia to enhance efficiency & effectiveness during his global role as Global Quality Manager. His experience is in Strategic Leadership, HSSEQ Management, Business Excellence models & application, QMS, Business Process Re-engineering, and Strategic Planning & Corporate Performance. He is currently Director HSSEQ & Business Excellence Division and is a member of the Executive Committee. Additionally, he also serves on the Board of Directors of his organization’s business ventures in South East Asia as Director on the Board for Drydocks World PaxOcean and PTBMC.

Lakshmi Janarthanan
Director - Commercial (Dubai)


A Mechanical Engineer by profession. Joined Drydocks World – Dubai as an Estimator in 1998, was part of the project management team in completing many successful FPSO conversion, New Building and major upgrade projects. During his tenure as part of special projects team, he was successful in bringing to fruition major contracts for FPSO conversion and new building in addition to numerous repair projects. Steadily grown in the company in various roles and have also carried out the feasibility study on upgrade projects and acquisition. He has attended specialized courses and gained experience in Contract Management, successfully negotiating Contracts for the Company. He has extensive experience working in shipyards in India and Middle East,including a yard managed by Keppel.
  

      
Majed Ali Aljawali
Director-Finance (Dubai)


Joined Drydocks World (then known as Jadaf-Dubai) in 2002 as Supervisor – Accounts. During his tenure, he held various positions such as Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, General Manager Finance prior to his promotion as Dubai Finance Director. Has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting from Ajman University and studied Mechanical Engineering at Dubai College.

Vinod Kumar Viswanath
Director- Project Management
 

Mr. Vinod is the Director-Project Management. He joined Drydocks World Dubai in 2000 as a Ship Repair Manager and since then held several positions in middle management roles in the yard. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering & Post-Graduate diploma in Business Management from Singapore. He has over 22 years’ experience in project management of FPSO & FSRU conversions, New Building Projects, Ship Repair and Modules for the oil & gas sector. He spent his earlier years of his career in the construction of Oil & Gas brownfield projects in India and then moved to the Marine Industry in Singapore where he held various roles in the departments as well as project management including managing and delivering various complex marine projects. He also played various roles in managing and leading the project management for Ship Repair, Conversions & New building Projects. Vinod played a vital role in leading and executing some prestigious EPC projects for the organization and also took up assignments as head of functional departments where he championed the efficiency process for optimization.
 

 
 
David Galea

Before joining Drydocks World, David has worked for two of the main international shipping law firms representing clients in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. David has specialized in ship and aviation finance advising a variety of clients including banks, lessors, lessees and ship owners in the negotiation and preparation of documents for the sale and purchase, financing and construction of vessels.  He has LLD form University of Malta and LLM in Maritime Law from University of Southampton.
