Khamis Juma Buamim
Chairman of the Board of Drydocks World and Maritime World
Appointed as Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World in May 2010. Was elected as President and Chief Executive Officer of Regional Clean Sea Organization (The region oil industry org. ) in April 2007. Prior to joining RECSO, was with Conoco and ConocoPhillips for 26 years in various management positions, including Vice President of Dubai Petroleum Company (DPC), a ConocoPhillips affiliate company in the United Arab Emirates.
Also served as the Secretary General of the UAE Oil & Gas Human Resources Group, led the Dubai Petroleum Management Incident Command System, Member of International Human Resources Management, Advisor to the Gulf Career Development Forum, Secretary General of the Dubai Government Oil Spill Task Force, the Crisis Management Team of Dubai and the Region and Senior MENA region Advisor-Global Energy.
Degree in Business Management and Economics and higher accreditation on the International Human Resources Management from the UK and has various outstanding accomplishments and certification including the National Management Certification in the Incident Command Systems from Texas – USA.

Ali bin Towaih
Vice President - Business Development
Appointed as Vice President in August 2010 to lead the business development activities of Drydocks World and to arrive at strategies for effective corporate governance, commercial, procurement and marketing. Has extensive experience working in the oil, gas and sustainable development in Energy & Environment. Has been in highly challenging positions and has been instrumental in the successful handling of several key projects for the Government of Dubai and other major organizations including non-profit organizations. Graduated in 1992 and earned Degree in B.Sc in Electronics Engineering from USA with high honors. Ali Bin Towaih has been elected as First Vice President of the UAE Shipping Association for the period 2011-2013.
Dr. Markus Johannes Voege
Vice President - Operations & Production
PhD in Production Planning and Control and Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Appointed as Vice President Operations and Production in May 2011. Brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of engineering, mining and re-structuring. Prior to his joining, he represented Alix Partners as Chief Transition Advisor – Operations for Drydocks World-SE Asia.Also worked as Vice President of Siemens Management Consulting and CEO for Global Mining Business Siemens AG Industrial Solutions & Services.
Adel Al Wahedi
Chief Financial Officer
Joined Drydocks World in May 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Following his graduation in Commerce and Accounting he joined Etisalat and held various management positions within Finance before his promotion as Deputy CFO of Etisalat Misr prior to joining Drydocks. Comes with a strong financial background and leadership having worked over 13 years with Etisalat.
Nagraj Rao
Executive Director - Global Finance
Joined Drydocks World – Dubai in 2009. Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as well as a member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, U.K. His career spans 27 years, 20 of them with J. Ray McDermott in Dubai.

Suad Mohammad Abdullah
Director – Emirartes International Maritime Academy
Suad has assumed several strategic roles in key Government organizations such as Maritime World, Drydocks World and Dubai Customs World. She was Director, Global HRD with Drydocks World and Acting Director of International Custom Centre and Training & Development with Dubai Customs World prior to joining EIMA as Director and the Chairman of EIMAS. She brings with her profuse experience in critical strategic decision-making, and projects and has received a number of special awards, certificates and letters of appreciation for her distinct capabilities. She holds a Higher Diploma from Dubai Women’s College in Office Management/Business Administration.

Mark Morris
Director – Global HSEQ
Appointed as Group Director–Technical services in January 2009. The prime focus of Mark's career for the past 17 years prior to joining Drydocks World has been in high-speed engineering, maintenance, operations and safety management. Joined Drydocks World from Carillion Plc where he was Director of Contracts for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL); Britain's newest high speed rail link between London and the Channel Tunnel. Also worked as a Senior Consultant for Booz Allen and Hamilton. Holds MSc Degree in rail engineering from Sheffield University.
Sumaya Tahlak
Manager – Global Communications
Joined Jadaf Dubai prior to its merger with Dubai Drydocks in June 2007 and was Public Relations Officer during the inception of the new brand Drydocks World. She has been part of a team that developed and implemented the new branding. She later assumed the role of Assistant Manager and was involved in the standardization of policies and procedures for PR. Prior to joining Drydocks World, she has worked with known establishments such as Middle East Bank, PCFC, Dubai Customs, Dubai World Trade Centre and Zayed University. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Business Science from Zayed University.
Manindera Singh
Executive Director - Global Engineering
Joined Drydocks World – Dubai in 1996 as a Ship Repair Manager and thereafter as Production Control Manager. Held several responsibilities as Conversions Manager, Safina Project Manager, Aker H6e Project Manager, New Building Division Manager and subsequently as Director – NewBuilding in 2008. A Marine Engineer by profession, he has sailed the high seas on merchant vessels for 8 years, several of them as Chief Engineer. Also holds a Master’s Degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University, London.
Ibrahim Ali Al-Ali
Global IT Manager
Master of Science (with Distinction) in Communication Systems Engineering from UK. Winner of various Awards & Courses in Communication, Electronics & IT. Attended several relevant Seminars and Conferences. Joined Drydocks World in September 2010 from Dubai Health Authority where he was working as Operation Manager in IT Department. Worked with Dubai Police General HQ in the capacities of Electronics Engr. and Technical Support Section Head.
Mohammad Rizal
Executive Director - Dubai Yard
Has extensive experience working with Singapore based Sembawang Engineering, Sembawang Shipyard and Pan United Marine. Joined Drydocks World – Dubai as a Ship Repair Manager in 1993, became the Invoicing Manager in 2000, Production Manager in 2004 and then Production Director in 2007.
Syed Abdi
Executive Director - Singapore Yard
Sailed as Chief Engineer on merchant ships. Joined Drydocks World - Dubai in 1994 as Ship Repair Manager; moved into Newbuilding project management and then became the Pipe Department Manager for the Dubai yard. Subsequently, held the positions of Divisional Director of Platinum Yachts, and Managing Director of Palm Marine, within the Drydocks World Group. Currently based in Singapore as Executive Director of Drydocks World - Singapore.
Ahmed Hareb Al Rumaithi
HR Operations Director – Dubai Yard
Started his career with UAE Government Departments, serving on many Senior HR positions for around 21 years. Joined Drydocks World – Dubai in 2007 as Director – HR and his main areas of interest are Change Management, Planning and Strategy. Currently leading the HR Division by implementing Human Resource Development Strategies based on international best practices.
Laksmi Janarthanan
Commercial Director – Dubai Yard
A Mechanical Engineer by profession. Joined Drydocks World – Dubai as an Estimator in 1998, was part of the project management team in completing many successful FPSO conversion, New Building and major upgrade projects. During his tenure as part of special projects team, he was successful in bringing to fruition major contracts for FPSO conversion and new building in addition to numerous repair projects. Steadily grown in the company in various roles and have also carried out the feasibility study on upgrade projects and acquisition. He has attended specialized courses and gained experience in Contract Management, successfully negotiating Contracts for the Company. He has extensive experience working in shipyards in India and Middle East, including a yard managed by Keppel.
Abdul Ghani Bin Hussain
General Manager - Commercial SEA
Joined Drydocks World - South East Asia in April 2010 as General Manager (Commercial). He brings with him over 25 years experience in the marine and offshore industry. He started his career with Keppel Shipyard since 1980. In 1990, he joined Drydocks World - Dubai and worked his way to become Estimating Manager. He is also well versed in the area of contracting. He holds a Diploma in Business Management.
Majed Ali Aljwali
Finance Director – Dubai
Joined Drydocks World (then known as Jadaf-Dubai) in 2002 as Supervisor – Accounts. During his tenure, he held various positions such as Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, General Manager Finance prior to his promotion as Dubai Finance Director. Has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting from Ajman University and studied Mechanical Engineering at Dubai College.
Tan Hooi Bin
Financial Controller – SEA
Degree in Management Accounting, (CIMA) and Member of CPA Singapore. Over 21 years of experience in the Finance function of the Marine and Offshore Industry. Responsible for the Finance Division across the yards in Singapore and Batam, Indonesia. Joined the Company on 02 May 1992.
Sadiq Basha
IT Manager - SEA
Master of Computer Application. Over 17 years of experience in software and infrastructure management in Middle East and Asia. Responsible for managing the Computing function in DDW South East Asia Operations. Joined the company in Feb 1998.
Stella Toresse
Group Company Secretary & Head of Legal
Has been with Drydocks World since its inception having previously worked for Dubai Drydocks since February 2006. Currently the Group Company Secretary and also heads the Legal Department. Holds an LLB (Hons) and graduated from the College of Law in London. Has been instrumental in implementing and driving the Company's corporate governance policies forward.
Pearl Ann Jeyaraj
Legal Manager – SEA
Having qualified with LL.B (Honours)in the UK and practiced as an admiralty lawyer in Malaysia, Pearl moved to Singapore in 2004 to become the Legal Manager of Labroy Marine Group of Companies. Labroy was subsequently acquired by the Company. With over 14 years of Legal experience with substantive insight on Offshore and Maritime Industry, Pearl is responsible for the Company’s Regional Legal Team which serves across the yards in Singapore and Batam, Indonesia. She is also the Company Secretary.
Mohsen Mandani
Shipping General Manager - SEA
Holds an MSC in Maritime Technical Operation from UK and has over 20 years of experience in the Technical function of the Shipping Industry and ship management. Responsible for overseeing the Shipping Division fleet operations, which is largely based in Indonesia off-shore. Joined the Company on 16 March 2009.
Atif Sayed
General Manager - Global Procurement
MBA in Logistics and Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS). Over 20 years experience with over 12 years in Supply Chain Management. Responsible for all supply chain activities for DDW-Dubai. Joined Drydocks in September 2009.

Chandrasehgaran Seetharaman
Operations Director – Singapore
Chandra has extensive experience in diverse aspects of production and operations, having worked for over 20 years in shipyards in Singapore. Starting his career with the safety department of Sembawang Shipyard, he joined Pan United Shipyard in 1993 and held various posts, namely Project Superintendent, Mechanical Department Head, Production Manager, Acting Operations Manager, Senior Manager (Operations) ,Asst. General Manager(Operations) and General Manager(Operations) before being appointed as Director – Operations. He is the Deputy Chairman of Association of Singapore Marine Industries Safety Committee and has been elected to be in the ASMI’s Council. He is actively involved in the Association’s various activities. Chandra graduated with an Engineering Degree in Ship Science from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom in 1991 and also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.
