Drydocks World’ Dubai yard addresses the small to mid size vessel owners’ requirements by offering ship lift services for docking and undocking at its dedicated facility in Al Jadaf, Dubai. Vessels weighing up to 2500 tonnes can be lifted and docked at the yard. The facility at Al Jadaf was known as Jadaf Dubai, before its merger with Dubai Drydocks in 2007. The yard has completed nearly 70,000 operations. In addition to docking and undocking of vessels of weights up to 250 to 2500 tonnes, the yard provided a number of technical services such as power and water supply to the contractors who worked on the vessels that were docked at the yard. The combination of adequate berthing space, a wide variety of craft expertise and a remarkably flexible facility, all serve to attract ship owners continuously. It is estimated that nearly 80 percent of all the small and medium sized vessels passing through the region used to dock at the shipyard for maintenance and repair.
